Alternatively, going to a driving range is a more solitary activity, destined for practice, rather than for showing off. Unless you are utilizing a driving range at a private club, there are far less restrictions for dress.
If you are going to a private club, then the rules of dressing and decorum will administer all areas of the club, as well as the driving range. On a public driving range, however, there are minimum or even no rules at all. If that is the case, then you must dress for comfort and ease of movement. If the weather is hot, then you must ensure that you are dressed to protect yourself from suntan and overheating first and foremost. Cotton wicks sweat away from your body, keeping you cooler and drier. Cotton is generally soft, comfortable and flexible also, making it a good choice. For females, ensure that you are wearing a top which can hold a nice supportive bra, although it appears strange to most people, there is a lot more movement involved in golf. Check to ensure that arm and neck holes are cut well and lay flat so that there is no chafing. Both genders must make sure that the tops they are wearing are comfortable enough to not interfere with the swing, but not so tight that they interfere with breathing. In cooler weather conditions, begin with a long sleeved top and layer a sweatshirt or light jacket over top of it, keeping in mind similar rules.
For the bottom half, consider your comfort level, and the climate. For warmer weather practice sessions, shorts are fine, again bearing in mind the fabric and fit. Make sure that shorts for any gender are cut long enough to keep the thighs from chafing, with soft, breathable materials. And finally, for shoe wear: make certain that you wear shoes that will protect your feet, give excellent grip for your safety and even let your feet to have freedom of movement and breath capability.
